When free from professional and personal commitments, Greg Francis is highly visible serving the local community. A passion for people coupled with his humanitarian spirit, Francis acts as an advocate for several philanthropic endeavors. The following highlight only a few of his contributions:
In February 2012, Francis generously donated his time to the Oscar Robertson meet & greet hosted by the International Prostate Cancer Foundation (IPCF). Francis served as emcee of the educational event, which helped raise awareness and featured NBA All-Star Oscar Robertson discussing his personal battle with prostate cancer and the importance of PSA screening. Acting as a mentor and supporter of this group, Francis seeks to perpetuate the mission of the Children’s Movement of Florida as they strive to inform the political, business and civic leaders along with the parents and people of Florida regarding the importance of education. Together they work toward making the well-being and education of our children of highest priority.
Through research, education, technology, and family assistance Runway To Hope works to provide support to children and families affected by pediatric cancer. Relying heavily upon community partnerships, the foundation shows great gratitude to contributors like Greg Francis who is often involved in supporting events.
Greg Francis annually supports some of Central Florida's disadvantaged children by hosting "A Party with A Purpose" along with co-hosts Carlos Leach & Louis DeFreitas.
At the event, toys and gifts that have been collected throughout the year are distributed to local children in need. During the holiday season, Greg himself takes joy in providing generous donations to area kids and families who need help making ends meet.
Touching the hearts of the Central Florida community, and connecting the fortunate with those in need, is Greg's mission during each holiday season.
